Storage Tiering

Switching in between disk type levels according to the requirement. Most frequently accessed data will be referring to high-performance SSD disks which are having lower storage capacities. Having a low storage capacity on the high-performance drives is a limitation. Less frequently used data will be referring to usual spinning disk drives like SATA which are having low performance and higher storage capacities. This task is automated. Fully Automated Storage Tiering (FAST) technology comes under this concept.
